Founded in 1992 the « Structure Alternative Company » is specialized in the fabrication, delivery and installation of wood frame buildings. The company began exporting it’s products more than ten years ago.

Our Mission

We have given ourselves the mission of bringing you the best quality at the best price. To do this we have implanted the most modern techniques in both fabrication and installation.

Our Plant

Situated in Ange-Gardien, Qc, the factory has been recently enlarged and now covers over 1150 sq meters.
Using sophisticated software and highly specialized equipment we build within forms panelised walls than can reach 52 feet long by 16 feet high and the size of our pre-assembled floors are limited only by provincial road restrictions. (over 16ft wide)

Our Market

As early as 1998 we entered the American market, mostly New England but with some projects accomplished as far as Louisiana. These projects were mostly apartment buildings, hotels or senior citizens homes.

In 2005 we built a project of 5 buildings consisting of 40 condominiums each. That project took six months to complete.

Between 1998 and 2005 the American market represented approximately 60% of our production. We had a representative on the American side of the border who was well acquainted with the construction market allowing us the opportunity to bid on quite a few projects. We also did some "on the job" training of some American construction workers in the erecting of our products. But with the recession and the Canadian dollar practically at par with the U.S. dollar the American contracts became less frequent.

However as the demands of the American market diminished, we began developing the European market, most especially France. Since 2005 the European market has continued to escalate particularly in the last two years. Last year alone we shipped over a dozen houses to Europe and more houses are on order. Our expertise and the quality of our wood keep this market continually expanding.
