How We Operate

According to the contract signed with the client the package could include exterior walls, bearing walls, interior divisions and even floors, all panelized and most walls are delivered in one piece. The roof is often preassembled on site. At first we were the only company to panelize our floors. We’ve been copied by many but never equaled

Specifications

All Structure Alternative products meet Canadian construction code standards. Each of our products is built to meet the specific standards required by each and every project.

Walls

The exterior walls are usually built with grade 1 and 2 kiln dried 2x6
These walls are generally covered with particle board and insulated according to the specification of the client.
The walls are delivered in sections of up to 52 feet long.
The walls are numbered for easy assembly « assembly plans are provided ».
The interior divisions are usually built with kiln dried 2x4 spaced at 24 inch c/c but again here it is ultimately according to the specifications of the client.

Floors

Most floors usually starts with quality open-web floor trusses covered with 5/8 inch plywood « glued and screwed » always according to the customer supplied plan.
The size of our preassembled floors is limited only by road transport restrictions. (over 16ft wide)

Roofs

The roof is built with quality roof trusses that meet or surpasses Canadian construction code standards. The roof is then covered with the sheeting specified by the client.

Guarantee

As Structure Alternative is a specialized construction company « license # RBQ 8014-0669-03 » All our products are guaranteed for 5 years according to the Quebec civil code.
