Our Concept

In the preparation of a project, the following steps are used by Structure Alternative:

• Signature of the contrat.
  
  
• Preparation of detailed shop drawings for the production - an installation drawing for site preparation is sent to the client;
  
  
• While construction of the foundation progresses, the components of the project is already in production at the plant;
  
  
• When the foundation is completed, the "shell" is delivered in panels to the site;
  
  
• Depending on the detailed specifications, the "shell" may include the exterior and bearing walls, the partitions and the floor and roof panels;
  
  
• All components are shipped prior to commencement of the project  –  to assemble the panels, a crane is needed only one time whatever the number of storeys of the construction;
  
  
• Once the structure is assembled the various trades – plumbing, electricity, wall and roof covering - will complete the work depending on the agreement with the owner’s contractor.

Specifications

All the products of Strucure Alternative meet the norms of the Canadinan Construction Code.  Depending on the needs, the products will be built to meet the needs of the construction codes in effect where the structure will be erected

Walls

• The exterior walls are made from kiln dried #1 & 2 grade spruce lumber, 2" x 6", 16" o/c, pre-framed, sheeted and insulated according to contract specifications.
  
• The walls are shipped in sections of up to 52' in length.
  
• The walls are numbered for easy assembly.
  
• The interior partitions are made from 2" x 4" 16” o/c and built according to contract specifications.

Floors

• The floor is composed of pre-engineered open web floor trusses paneled according to contract specifications - panels are glued and screwed to the trusses.
• The floor is shipped in large sections which would only be limited by transportation limitations.
  Roofs

Roofs

• The roof is composed of pre-engineered trusses and paneled according to contract specifications.
• The trusses are engineered to meet or exceed the specifications of the location where the construction is erected.

Garantee

Structure Alernative being a specialised contractor (License Number RBQ # 8014-0669-03), all its production is guaranteed for a period  of five (5) years according to the provisions of the Civil Code of Québec.
